              <text>This photo appeared in an advertisement for Kakamega Sawmills Ltd. It shows the Kisumu Council Chambers inside Town Hall. The advertisement captioned the photo as follows: "The beautiful wood for the panelling in the above photograph was supplied by us. It is Elgon Olive and is typical of the fine quality timbers which are cut and processed by the Kakamega Saw Mills Ltd." The following additional text is also in the advertisement: "We hold a large concession in the Kakamega Forest where we cut and part-process the rough timber. Furniture and other finished articles are turned out in our Kisumu Factory. In order to keep abreast of the industry new drying kilns are to be installed next year. Our soft woods are widely used in the building industry. As Kisumu expands so shall we expand in order to meet the ever-growing demand for our timber and other products."</text>
