Varsity Plaza, which houses the Maseno University Kisumu City College Campus, appears on the left. The two tallest buildings in the distance were added to the existing Mega Plaza mall in 2016. They are 16 and 17 stories in height and, according to a February 10, 2016, article in The Star, were part of the developer's ambition to turn Kisumu into "Kenya's Dubai."
